Back to Basics?

Chalkboards? Erasers? No computers? No IPads?

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula uses little to no technology, the students have the same teacher throughout their K-8 education, and there are no need for tests or grades. To the students, parents and teachers of this Silicon Valley School. computers are just a tool.  The school bases their near perfect graduation rate on the intense student-teacher bond. The teacher knows the students strengths and weakness so the curriculum can be tailored to each student’s specific needs. Without the technology the students have learned to focus on speaking and discussing and often become annoyed with friends who spend their time texting and interfacing.
